Why you Should be a Morning Person!

I LOVE sleeping in! And sometimes I will sleep in past 12:00 in the afternoon. It can be hard to keep a good sleep schedule and really know when to wake up, and go to bed!

In this blog I will explain a few reasons why you should go from being a night owl, to a morning person!

Health benefits!

Being a morning person is going to really effect how you feel throughout the day. This is a good thing! being a morning person is going to help you mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally!

  • Mentally

Being a morning person is going to help you be more relaxed! Your day is going to go by in a much more productive way! Instead of sleeping in until 12:00 pm, you will have more time to work, clean, organize, and even relax! Whatever your day looks like, you will have more time to do everything! You will also feel more rested with a organized sleep schedule, so you will get through the day with a more positive attitude!

  • Physically

Getting the sleep you need is really going to help out your body! Anything you do physically throughout the day is going to feel easier, and less of a challenge because your body is well rested!

  • Spiritually

This kind of goes along with mental health and sleep. Whatever you believe in and whatever you practice, your spiritual health is going to be helped a lot by getting good sleep! Your thoughts will be positive, and your attitude will be good the entire day!

  • Emotionally

Taking care of your body, and mind is important! People who are emotionally healthy are in control of their thoughts and feelings throughout the day! By getting good sleep it will benefit the way you think about things during the day!


Don’t Over Sleep!

Over sleeping is something I have struggled with in the past! Your body only needs a certain amount of rest to get through the day! Most people don’t know what the balance is, that you need to have for your sleep schedule! You can’t sleep too long, and you have to sleep the perfect amount of time for you personally!

Some of the challenges I faced while over sleeping were..

  • Dizziness
  • Drowsiness
  • Being over tired
  • No motivation
  • Feeling sick

Over sleeping can make you more tired, more achy, and more sick! Every day it was hard for me to get out of bed without getting extremely dizzy and tired the moment I put my feet on the ground. This is the reason I started getting enough sleep, and waking up early, so I could get more things done!

The Motivation!

It can be hard on a regular basis to find motivation throughout the day! But when we have enough sleep, and we get up early enough, we have more time in the day to get motivated!

It can still be difficult, but by getting up and immediately doing something active, it can be easy to find motivation for the rest of the day!

THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU WAKE UP

  • Cook breakfast!
  • Workout!
  • Journal!
  • Meditate!
  • Go for a walk
  • Go hiking!

All of these things are important for your health! By waking up and starting your day with one of these things, you are already setting yourself up to be motivated the rest of the day!

STOP SNOOZING

When you want to start getting up early, and ready for the day! You want to start off on a positive note! How many times in the morning do you click that snooze button? Well, it’s time to stop. If your going to be hitting that snooze button, set your alarm for an hour, or 30 minutes earlier so you have no choice but to get up!

Reward yourself!

Once you have woken up successfully and early! Now your productive day has begun! You can reward yourself! Maybe with a bath, or some yummy food and chocolate! ICE CREAM even!
