
Self-Confidence is what makes us feel free. Your possibilities are endless when you find YOUR Self-Confidence.
Your confidence has ALWAYS been within you!You just have to find it! You need to open up your mind to all the possibilities available to you when you feel like the best possible you! You need to find what really makes you feel happy and start doing things you LOVE! Stop holding yourself back!
1. What makes you happy?
The key to being confident in yourself is happiness! Find things that you love to do, and surround yourself with people who make you happy! You want to be around people who inspire you, and encourage you to do things you love! So find that happiness my friend, because I know you got it!!
2. Are you being KIND to yourself?
Are you treating yourself with the kindness you deserve? If not, think about every time you would think negatively about yourself! How does that make you feel? Not good I’m sure! The best way to fix this issue, is to correct yourself every time you have those thoughts! For example: if I said “I really don’t look good today” turn that thought into “I might not look my best today, but I won’t let that bring me down!”
3. STOP comparing!
Stop comparing yourself to other people! It won’t make you feel better, it will make you feel worse! You HAVE to remember that everyone is different. And by comparing yourself to someone, you are setting an unrealistic goal to be that person! (And you can’t). You are you, not them!
4. Start journaling
I was one of those people who didn’t think journaling worked! But let me tell you.. IT DOES! Journaling is going to get your mind off of every stressful thing that happened that day. You will feel as though a weight was lifted off your shoulders, when you write how you felt during the day! Writing is a huge stress reliever, but it can also be an everyday thing! Looking back at how you felt vs. how you feel now, can really make you feel accomplished and want to keep up everything you’ve been doing to get to this point!
5. Fake it, till you make it!
I am not saying faking is a good thing, but in this case it is! Sometimes it can be hard to meet people, or even step out of our comfort zones. But when we don’t feel confident, we still need to smile and get through the day! Don’t let anyone know you feel this way! You are on a journey, and it takes a lot of effort to get there! But keep smiling, and make an effort every day to finding your true confidence!
6. Set goals for yourself!
Going back to that journaling idea.. you should write down goals you have for yourself. Whether they are small, or big goals, write down what you have to do to get there! Make an effort every day to accomplishing this new goal!
7. Try something NEW!
What better way to step outside your comfort zone! Trying something new is going to open up more opportunities for you! And meeting people who have the same interests as you! This will really boost your self-confidence, because trying something new is a HUGE accomplishment. Even if you don’t like that new hobby, it still shows you that you have endless opportunities in life! And you should try anything that you might like!
8. Be yourself!
You might here this ALL the time! But when do we actually listen to it! Most of the time it’s like whenever we hear this it goes in one ear and out the other! But if you truly listen to this message, it will actually make a difference! You should always be yourself and not try to be someone your not!
9. Don’t stress!
On this journey, you may face some stressful situations! But like in everyday life, EVERYONE is faced with stress! One thing I learned and that has helped me, was to clear my mind. It might sound crazy but meditation helped me a lot! Not just once a day, but whenever I was stressed or anxious! Even at school I would go into a room and listen to a guided meditation to help me relax before my next class!
Why does this help with confidence? ~ by quieting your mind and being more open, this boosts your confidence more than you think! You should never spend a day feeling stressed when you could just continue your day feeling good! It’s all important when finding your confidence!
10. Don’t care about what other people think!
People say things ALL THE TIME! and not always so good! I used to think people were only against me, but that is the only thing you pay attention to when you don’t feel like the best person you can be! The reality is that not everyone likes what you do. And you shouldn’t pay attention to those people. The people who will mean the most in your life, are the people who help you to learn and grow as a person! So stop worrying about other people’s opinions, and start paying attention to yourself and the people who make you happy!
11. Don’t Overthink!
A lot of the times, it can be easy to overthink things. When you try to decide what’s best for you, you might find yourself asking “is this the right thing to do?” But don’t let this get in your way! You should always think of the best possible things, and learn from your mistakes! Thinking about something too much is going to make you more unsure, and you won’t end up making the right decision!
12. Get organized!
Get yourself organized! It is important to be in a space where you are comfortable and able to relax! A clean space = a clean mind! Your should also clean anything from your electronics that might make you feel bad, or stressed out!
13. Exercise!
A healthy body = a healthy mind! Have you had a goal to get exercising? Have you wanted to feel stronger, or less insecure? NOW IS THE TIME! having good physical health is a HUGE step to loving yourself and having confidence in yourself! Not only will have have confidence in your body, but you will find that you feel more confident in yourself!!
14. Don’t doubt yourself!
Never feel uncertain about a choice or decision! Especially if you know deep down it’s the right choice! Keep telling yourself that this is the right decision, or “I CAN DO THIS!”
15. Talk to people!
Find new people to talk to! Find friends and family you can talk to when you need! The best way to feel confident in yourself is by being around people with good energy. Being around people who have goals, will encourage you to be the best possible you!!
